The Three Little Pigs
Once upon a time, in a land not far from here, there were three little pigs. They lived with their mother in a cozy little house made of straw.
One day, the mother pig told her three little pigs that it was time for them to leave home and build their own houses. The first little pig, who was very lazy, decided to build his house out of straw because it was quick and easy.
The second little pig, who was a bit more careful, chose to build his house out of sticks. It took him a little longer, but he thought it would be strong enough to keep out the big, bad wolf.
The third little pig, who was the most clever of the three, decided to build his house out of bricks. He worked hard and took his time, making sure his house was strong and secure.
While the little pigs were busy building their houses, the big, bad wolf was watching. He saw the first little pig’s straw house and huffed and puffed and blew it down. The first little pig ran away, crying, “Help! The wolf has blown down my house!”
The second little pig heard the cries and came out to see what was happening. He saw the wolf standing there, so he ran to his stick house. The wolf huffed and puffed and blew down the stick house, too. The second little pig ran away, crying, “Help! The wolf has blown down my house!”
The third little pig heard the cries from his brick house and peeked out the window. He saw the wolf standing there, ready to blow down his house. But the third little pig was ready. He had made his house strong with bricks, and the wolf couldn’t blow it down.
The wolf tried his best to huff and puff, but the brick house stood firm. Finally, the wolf got angry and said, “I’ll come back tomorrow!” and he ran away.
The next day, the wolf came back. But this time, he brought a ladder. He climbed up the ladder and tried to get into the brick house. The third little pig was watching from the window and saw what the wolf was doing. He quickly went outside and slammed the door shut, locking the wolf out.
The wolf pounded on the door and huffed and puffed, but he couldn’t get in. The third little pig smiled and said, “I knew I built the best house!”
And so, the three little pigs lived happily ever after in their strong brick house, safe from the big, bad wolf.
The end.
