The Three Little Pigs

Once upon a time, in a small village, there were three little pigs. They were very close to each other and lived with their mother. The mother pig wanted her sons to be independent, so she taught them how to build their own houses.

The first little pig was very lazy. He decided to build his house out of straw because it was quick and easy. He thought, “This will be a cozy little home for me.” So, he built a nice little straw house and moved in.

Not long after, a big, bad wolf came by. The wolf saw the little pig’s straw house and thought, “This will be an easy meal for me.” So, the wolf blew down the straw house with a single huff and a puff. The little pig ran away crying, “Oh no! My house is gone!”

The second little pig was a bit wiser than his brother. He saw what had happened to his brother and decided to build a stronger house. He chose sticks to build his house because they were stronger than straw. He worked hard and built a sturdy stick house.

When the wolf came by the second pig’s house, he saw that it was stronger than the first one. But the wolf was not deterred. He blew as hard as he could, and the stick house fell down. The second little pig ran away, too, crying, “Oh no! My house is gone!”

The third little pig was the wisest of the three. He learned from his brothers’ mistakes and decided to build the strongest house he could. He gathered bricks and built a brick house, which took him a long time but was very strong.

When the wolf came to the third pig’s house, he saw the bricks and knew it would be difficult to blow down. The wolf tried and tried, but the brick house stood firm. Finally, the wolf got an idea. He made a big pot of soup and cooked it over a fire. Then, he climbed into the pot and hid under the soup.

The third little pig came home and smelled the delicious soup. He was so hungry that he forgot to be cautious. He opened the door and saw the pot of soup. Without thinking, he reached in to get a bowl of soup. But when he lifted the pot, the wolf jumped out and scared him.

The third little pig was so frightened that he ran away as fast as he could. The wolf chased him, but the third little pig was too fast. He ran and ran until he couldn’t run anymore. He found a tree and climbed up it, out of reach of the wolf.

The wolf stood at the base of the tree and looked up at the little pig. He realized that he couldn’t catch him, so he went away, disappointed.

The third little pig was safe and sound in his brick house. He learned that hard work and wisdom can protect you from danger. And so, the three little pigs lived happily ever after.
