The hare, feeling ashamed and embarrassed, tried to run as fast as he could. However, it was too late. The tortoise had already crossed the finish line and won the race.
The moral of the story is that slow and steady wins the race. The hare’s pride and overconfidence led to his downfall, while the tortoise’s perseverance and determination brought him victory.
