One sunny day, Ms. Frizzle’s class was on a field trip. They were going to explore the inside of the Earth!
“Today, we’re going on a special adventure,” Ms. Frizzle announced. “We’re going to ride inside the Earth!”
The students were excited. They loved the Magic School Bus adventures.
“Get on the bus!” Ms. Frizzle called out.
The bus transformed into a tunnel, and they were off! They zoomed through the soil, past the roots of trees, and into the dirt.
“Look, kids!” Ms. Frizzle exclaimed. “This is the soil layer. It’s where plants grow and animals live.”
The bus continued deeper into the Earth. They passed through the soil layer and into the bedrock.
“Next, we have the bedrock layer,” Ms. Frizzle explained. “It’s the hardest part of the Earth’s crust.”
The bus kept going, through the bedrock and into the mantle.
“This is the mantle layer,” Ms. Frizzle said. “It’s very hot and thick. That’s why the Earth can support mountains and volcanoes.”
Finally, they reached the core of the Earth.
“This is the core,” Ms. Frizzle said. “It’s made of iron and nickel. It’s very, very hot!”
The students were amazed by what they saw. They learned about earthquakes, volcanoes, and how the Earth’s layers move.
When they returned to the surface, the students couldn’t wait to share their adventure with their families and friends.
“Guess what we did today?” one student asked.
“We went inside the Earth!” another student replied with a smile.
And that’s how the Magic School Bus took Ms. Frizzle’s class on another unforgettable adventure!
