The Story of the Farmer and the Snake

Once upon a time, there was a kind-hearted farmer who lived in a small village. One cold winter morning, he found a small snake frozen to the ground, shivering with cold. The farmer felt sorry for the snake and decided to take it home to warm it up.

The farmer brought the snake inside his warm house and placed it in a basket. He covered it with a blanket to keep it warm. As the snake recovered from the cold, it began to regain its strength and soon started to move around.

After a few days, the snake felt well enough to leave the basket. The farmer was delighted to see that the snake was recovering. However, he was not aware that the snake was not grateful for his kindness.

One day, the farmer was working in his field when he heard a loud noise. He turned to see a group of villagers chasing a thief. The farmer chased after them, determined to catch the thief.

As the farmer was running, he stumbled upon a pile of leaves. He looked down and saw the snake, which had escaped from the basket. The snake saw the farmer and bit him with its fangs.

The farmer was in pain and fell to the ground. The villagers caught up with him and saw that he had been bitten by the snake. They were shocked and angry, thinking that the farmer had been bitten by the thief.

The villagers took the farmer to the village doctor, but it was too late. The snake’s venom had spread throughout the farmer’s body, and he died shortly after.

The villagers were sad and disappointed, as they had trusted the farmer and thought he was kind. They realized that the snake, which they had once thought was innocent, had actually been ungrateful and harmful.

From that day on, the villagers reminded each other of the story of the farmer and the snake, warning them to be cautious and not to help those who were ungrateful.
