Once upon a time, there was a little swan that hatched from an egg in a duck’s nest. The little swan was very different from the other ducks, with his long neck and white feathers. The other ducks made fun of him and called him “ugly.”
The little swan felt sad and lonely. He left his duck family and went to live in the forest. There, he met other birds, but they were also mean to him because of his strange appearance.
One day, the little swan saw a group of swans in a nearby lake. He swam to them and was amazed to see that they were beautiful. But when they saw him, they laughed and called him ugly.
The little swan was heartbroken. He thought he would always be ugly. But then, one of the swans swam up to him and said, “You are not ugly, you are a swan.”
The little swan was amazed. He realized that he had been looking at himself the wrong way. He was a swan all along, and his beauty was hidden beneath his ugly duckling appearance.
From that day on, the little swan was happy and proud of who he was. He returned to the lake and became one of the most beautiful swans in the world.
