Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a little girl named Lily. Lily loved to play outside with her friends, but she always had a special favorite game.

One sunny afternoon, Lily and her friends decided to play “Hide and Seek.” They chose a big oak tree as the hiding spot. Lily was the one to hide first, and she thought of a clever place to hide: behind the old shed at the edge of the village.

As Lily counted to twenty, her friends searched every corner of the oak tree. They peeked under the leaves, behind the branches, and even climbed up the trunk. But Lily was a good hider, and she managed to stay undetected.

When Lily finished counting, she peeked out from behind the shed. To her surprise, her friends were all gathered around the old oak tree, looking confused. One of her friends, Tom, noticed Lily and exclaimed, “Lily, you’re not behind the tree!”

Lily giggled and ran out from behind the shed, her arms spread wide. “Surprise!” she said with a big smile.

Her friends cheered and laughed, and they played another round of “Hide and Seek.” But this time, Lily promised to choose a different hiding spot.

As the sun began to set, the children said goodbye to each other, promising to play again soon. Lily ran home, feeling happy and tired from a fun day of play.

And so, in the small village, the memory of Lily’s clever hiding spot lived on, and the game of “Hide and Seek” was always a favorite among the children.
