《The Tortoise and the Hare》

Once upon a time, there was a race between a slow-moving tortoise and a swift hare. The tortoise was known for its patience and steady pace, while the hare was famous for its speed and impatience.

One sunny morning, the tortoise and the hare decided to have a race. They agreed on a starting line and a finish line at the edge of a forest. The animals of the forest gathered to watch the race, excited to see who would win.

The race began. The hare, full of confidence, sprinted off into the distance, leaving the tortoise far behind. The hare thought to himself, “This will be an easy win. I’ll take a little nap and still finish before the tortoise.”

As the hare slept, the tortoise, though slow, continued to move forward, one step at a time. Hours passed, and the hare woke up from his nap. He was surprised to see the tortoise still on the track, not far from the finish line.

The hare, feeling a mix of embarrassment and determination, decided to run as fast as he could. He caught up to the tortoise and asked, “Why are you still here? I thought you’d be long gone by now!”

The tortoise replied, “I know I’m slow, but I never give up. I keep moving forward, one step at a time.”

The hare, realizing his mistake, decided to join the tortoise. They ran together, and with the tortoise’s steady pace and the hare’s burst of speed, they reached the finish line together.

The animals of the forest cheered and clapped. The tortoise and the hare had both won the race, teaching everyone that patience, determination, and perseverance can sometimes lead to unexpected victories.

And so, the moral of the story is: “Slow and steady wins the race.”
