小故事:The Lost Cat

Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a little girl named Lily. Lily had a cat named Whiskers, who was her best friend. Whiskers was a fluffy, gray cat with big, green eyes.

One sunny morning, Lily found Whiskers missing. She looked everywhere in the house but couldn’t find him. She was very worried and started to cry.

Lily’s mother, Mrs. Green, heard her daughter’s cries and came to see what was wrong. “What’s the matter, Lily?” she asked.

Lily explained that Whiskers was missing. “I think he might have gone outside,” she said.

Mrs. Green decided to help Lily look for Whiskers. They went outside and started calling his name. They checked under the bushes, in the garden, and near the playground, but still, there was no sign of Whiskers.

As they were searching, they met Mr. Brown, the postman. “Have you seen a gray cat around here?” Lily asked.

Mr. Brown shook his head. “No, but I did see a cat running away from the big tree near the river.”

Lily and Mrs. Green immediately ran to the river. There, they saw Whiskers, but he was stuck in a tree. Whiskers was crying for help, and Lily was so relieved to see him.

Lily climbed up the tree with the help of Mrs. Green and Mr. Brown, and they carefully got Whiskers down. Whiskers was safe, and he purred happily as he was put back in his favorite spot in the garden.

From that day on, Lily learned to always keep an eye on Whiskers, and Whiskers knew that he should never go too far from home. And so, their friendship grew even stronger.

The end.
