《The Tortoise and the Hare》
Once upon a time, there was a race between a tortoise and a hare. The tortoise was slow and steady, while the hare was fast but lazy.
The two animals decided to have a race to see who was the fastest. They agreed on a starting line and began the race.
The tortoise started off slowly but never gave up. He kept plodding along, one step at a time. The hare, on the other hand, took off like a shot. He was so confident that he decided to take a nap during the race.
As the tortoise continued to move forward, he saw the hare sleeping under a tree. He was so surprised that he stopped to watch. The hare, however, woke up and realized he had fallen behind. He decided to run as fast as he could to catch up.
The tortoise, still moving slowly but surely, reached the finish line first. The hare arrived later, but he was too tired to apologize. He learned a valuable lesson that day: pride goes before a fall.
And so, the tortoise and the hare became friends. They realized that slow and steady wins the race, and that it’s important to be humble and not overconfident.
