Years passed, and Mr. Li grew weaker. Ming continued to be his father’s pillar of support, never wavering in his commitment. Finally, the day came when Mr. Li passed away, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

The villagers of the small mountain village were inspired by Ming’s story of孝道 (xiao dao), or filial piety.
